Description: The Illinois Branch of The International Dyslexia Association was formed to increase public awareness of dyslexia in Illinois. We have been serving individuals with dyslexia, their families, and professionals for more than 30 years. One of our primary objectives is to increase early intervention efforts. Many of our 800 members are actively involved in the remediation of dyslexia. Our members are educators, psychologists, physicians, individuals with dyslexia, and parents who are addressing learning disabilities issues with their local school systems and the Illinois State Board of Education. Over the years we have developed a network of local school officials, parents, attorneys, and other professionals to help parents navigate the system.
