Description: The Northwest Cultural Council was established in September of 1988 and serves almost 800,000 people, including 200,000 families, in the area from O'Hare to Elgin. Our goal is to provide opportunity for all people to attend cultural events close to home. We organize visual art exhibits at eight corporate sites, host two international invitational competitions annually. One is a poetry and visual art competition; the other focuses on photography. NWCC also hosts poetry workshops monthly in our office and publishes a quarterly newsletter that includes a calendar of events in the Northwest corridor. We also provide a student educational and enrichment program for kids called "Kids Meet Art" (TM) in area schools
